Controller
Makina Trafikskola AB is the controller. Full company and contact details are available on the contact page.
What we collect
We process name, email and phone number. We process bookings, payment history and pickup address. We process theory results and lesson notes written by the instructor.
Purpose and legal basis
Contract: to book lessons, grant theory access and take payment. Legal obligation: bookkeeping and receipts. Legitimate interest: to plan instructor time and improve training. Consent: optional messages and cookies beyond the necessary ones, if those are added later.
Personal identity number
We store your personal identity number only if you add it. It is used solely to book theory and driving tests with the Swedish Transport Administration and is shown only to the school administrators and your instructors.
How long we keep data
Pickup addresses are deleted 90 days after a completed lesson. Accounting data is kept under the Bookkeeping Act. The account and education card are kept while you are a customer, then as long as the law requires.
Recipients and sub-processors
Stripe handles payments. Klarna handles payment when you choose Klarna at checkout. 46elks sends SMS. Google handles sign-in with Google and shows maps and addresses. Sentry receives error reports. Railway hosts the service. Cloudflare R2 stores files and backups. Some of these may transfer data outside the EU/EEA. Then approved safeguards are used, for example standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You can ask for access, rectification, erasure, data portability and objection. Signed-in students can export their data and delete the account under My pages. Deletion anonymises personal data. Some records must be kept for bookkeeping.
Supervisory authority
You can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), imy.se.
